The best-selling book series in history, the Harry Potter books have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, and been translated into eighty languages. The main story arc concerns Harry's struggle against a dark wizard named Lord Voldemort, who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic, and subjugate all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people). They are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The stories detail the adventures of young wizard Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. The Harry Potter series is comprised of seven fantasy novels by British author J. Meanwhile, a live-action Harry Potter’ TV series is in early development at HBO Max. The show will comprise four, one-hour challenges and viewers will be able to play along at home.
